Funk Tribu is making waves in the electronic music scene with the launch of a new compilation series titled ‘Rituals’, marking a bold step forward for his label, TRIBE. The inaugural volume, ‘Rituals Vol. 1’, was released on September 18th, 2026, and is now available across all major streaming platforms. This exciting series will feature a rotating cast of four artists per volume, offering diversity while creating a unified listening experience.
Since its inception in 2025, TRIBE has evolved into more than just a label; it has become a vibrant community hub. With events spanning cities like Bogota, Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels, alongside screenings in Berlin, TRIBE has fostered a culture that thrives on the connections built between artists and fans. The artwork for ‘Rituals’ embodies this communal spirit, incorporating handprints from each artist, symbolizing their distinct contributions and relationships with Funk Tribu.
Each artist featured in ‘Rituals Vol. 1’ brings a personal story that intertwines with Funk Tribu’s journey. For instance, Afem Syko first caught Funk’s attention while DJing at a party in Bogota, leading to their eventual reunion in Berlin, where he shared demos that culminated in the creation of the pulsating track ‘KINETYKA.’ “The title, meaning kinetics in Polish, encapsulates the essence of energy transmitted through motion,” Afem reflects, highlighting the dynamic nature of his music.
Supergloss, another exciting inclusion on the compilation, quickly became a staple at TRIBE events after Funk discovered her at a Serbian venue. Her contribution to ‘Rituals Vol. 1’ captures the euphoria of a night spent dancing: “This track seeks to express that feeling of reluctance to leave the dancefloor, the hunger for one last moment of euphoric release,” she explains, underscoring the powerful emotional connections forged on the dancefloor.
Vall Du Son’s journey with TRIBE began at ADE in 2024, where his early encounters with Funk led to a deeper artistic collaboration. His track for the compilation reflects a sense of freedom in creativity: “I stopped trying to fit into specific categories and instead followed what excited me. That’s where my best work comes from,” he notes, showcasing the liberating aspect of the artistic process.
Lastly, HANAA joins the compilation as a fresh voice in the music scene, discovered while Funk was on the lookout for new sounds for his sets. Her track, ‘Looking For My Tribe’, embodies the essence of connection: “It’s about searching for those rare individuals who resonate with you on a deeper level,” she shares, capturing the spirit of community that TRIBE champions.
“The beauty of ‘Rituals Vol. 1’ lies in its diversity,” Funk Tribu explains. “Each track tells its own story and is connected to me in various ways, yet somehow they all align within the same ritual.” This philosophy exemplifies TRIBE’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where different artistic expressions can coexist and thrive.
