The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Awards 2026 recently made waves as it returned to the electronic music mecca of [UNVRS] Ibiza on October 6. Drenched in anticipation and excitement, this year’s ceremony witnessed a record-breaking number of verified votes from 234 territories worldwide. Topping the list was none other than the legendary David Guetta, who captured the title of World’s No. 1 DJ for the sixth time—an unprecedented achievement that has placed him in a league of his own within the history of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.
David Guetta Sets A New Top 100 DJs Record
David Guetta’s sixth win not only solidifies his dominance but also eclipses past champions, making him the first artist in the world to achieve this remarkable feat. His journey in the poll began back in 2011, and since then, he has experienced victories in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025. The previous year, he shared accolades with Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, each boasting five wins. The 2026 results now redefine the narrative as Guetta stands alone atop the leaderboard.
Expressing his excitement over this incredible achievement, Guetta highlighted the growth of electronic dance music (EDM) over the years. He remarked on how DJs are now filling stadiums that were once the exclusive domains of pop and rock icons. The continued influx of emerging DJs and vibrant club culture in the current landscape, he noted, invigorates his passion for music and performance, making this moment particularly thrilling.
This announcement comes as no surprise, as 2026 has proven a monumental year for Guetta. He amassed an astonishing five billion streams on various platforms, marking a pivotal milestone as the first artist ever to earn 22 No. 1 hits on the US Dance Airplay chart. He has also maintained his status as the most-streamed DJ on Spotify, frequently landing among the top ten most-listened-to artists across all musical genres.
David Guetta’s Huge Year On Tour
Guetta’s success transcends the charts, manifesting in some of the largest live performances of his career. His three sold-out shows at the Stade de France in Paris drew over 240,000 fans, featuring special appearances from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Black Coffee, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Bebe Rexha, and Black Eyed Peas. His electrifying performances have become synonymous with landmark events, such as the MONOLITH show that graced major venues and festivals, including Red Rocks and Coachella.
Ibiza, of course, remained a pivotal part of Guetta’s summer lineup. His acclaimed party F* Me I’m Famous! returned to Ushuaïa Ibiza, and his innovative endeavor Galactic Circus remained a staple at [UNVRS]. These residencies showcased the breadth of his musical influence, perfectly entwining with his extensive touring schedule.
