MDLBEAST Presents: An Electrifying Return to Jeddah’s ONYX Arena
JEDDAH—The anticipated return of MDLBEAST Presents is set to electrify the city of Jeddah with a two-night festival of electronic music that promises to unite fans through the universal language of rhythm and sound. Scheduled for October 29 and 30 at the ONYX Arena, this event will showcase the dynamic evolution of electronic music culture while featuring an impressive lineup of both international and regional talents.
A Diverse Lineup of Talent
The festival’s opening night on October 29 will see renowned names in the electronic music scene grace the stage, including the enigmatic German DJ Boris Brejcha, who is famous for his signature joker mask that adds a theatrical touch to his performances. Joining him will be the popular house music artist BLOND and the versatile Jimi Jules. Adding a local flavor to the mix will be Saudi DJs Baloo and Vinyl Mode, who have garnered attention for their unique sounds and engaging performances.
The second night, October 30, promises to be equally thrilling, featuring electronic heavyweights such as Argy and Loco Dice, alongside the internationally acclaimed Steve Angello, a founding member of the legendary Swedish House Mafia. Bringing his own flair will be Dennis Cruz, who is known for his infectious grooves and connection with the crowd. Regional artists Blacky and HiFi will also contribute to the vibrant atmosphere, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to showcasing local talent alongside global stars.
Genres That Inspire Unity
MDLBEAST Presents aims to embrace a wide range of electronic music styles—from house and techno to melodic and underground beats. This diversity is not only about the music, but also about creating a space where people can come together, regardless of cultural or linguistic backgrounds. As Vinyl Mode aptly articulated, “Music is a universal language.” It is this interplay of varied styles and genres that makes electronic music festivals significant cultural events, drawing audiences from different walks of life who all share a love for music.
The ONYX Arena: A Venue of Dreams
ONYX Arena, which made its debut as part of Jeddah Season, is now a prominent venue for large-scale events. With a capacity exceeding 12,000, it has already hosted major acts like the Black Eyed Peas, Central Cee, and Metro Boomin, further solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for concerts and music festivals. The arena’s state-of-the-art facilities and ambiance are crafted to elevate the live music experience, making it a fitting host for MDLBEAST Presents.
The Growth of MDLBEAST
Founded in 2019, MDLBEAST has rapidly established itself as a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s music scene. The company first gained attention with its Soundstorm festival in Riyadh, which was celebrated for its impressive lineups and production quality. Since then, MDLBEAST has expanded into record labels and music venues, enriching the cultural landscape of the Kingdom. Leading the charge in creativity and vision is Ahmed Al-Ammary, also known in the DJ circuit as Baloo. He expressed his excitement about performing at ONYX Arena for the first time, underlining the vibrant energy of Jeddah’s crowd, which he notes has “some serious bounce.”
Building Community and Connection
At the heart of MDLBEAST’s mission is the goal of creating community through music. The dance floor serves as a gathering place where individuals can share in the collective joy of rhythm. Baloo’s enthusiasm for the Jeddah crowd highlights that music festivals transcend mere entertainment; they are experiences built on connection, creativity, and joy. The sentiment is echoed by Vinyl Mode, who emphasized the importance of music in bringing people together, creating an inclusive environment where everyone can lose themselves to the beat.
Anticipation for an Unforgettable Experience
As the dates approach, the excitement for MDLBEAST Presents continues to grow. With an array of talent set to perform, fans are looking forward to an unforgettable experience filled with mesmerizing performances, a sense of community, and the shared love of electronic music. Both locals and visitors to Jeddah will have the chance to immerse themselves in an electrifying atmosphere that reflects the Kingdom’s evolving music landscape, making the festival a must-attend event on this year’s cultural calendar.
