SCREAM Edmonton 2026: The Electric Festival That’s Taking Over Halloween Weekend
As the leaves turn and Halloween draws near, one event is electrifying the festival circuit: SCREAM Edmonton. The festival has officially sold out its 2026 edition, boasting a staggering 30,000 tickets claimed across its two-night event. Scheduled for October 30 and 31, SCREAM Edmonton promises to provide thrills, chills, and unforgettable beats, featuring a lineup headlined by electronic music giants like Tiësto, Alesso, Chase & Status, Gryffin, and Sara Landry, among others. This year marks another significant milestone for the festival, which expanded to a two-night format last year—an ambition realized with great success.
A Record-Breaking Event
In a recent press release, organizers of SCREAM Edmonton confirmed an impressive feat: tickets sold out more than two weeks before the event. This early sellout underscores the festival’s meteoric rise in popularity, having evolved into a sprawling event covering over 228,000 square feet of festivity. It’s not merely the lineup that entices fans but the complete SCREAM experience that has captivated thousands.
Growth Over the Years
30x Growth Over 27 Years: What began in 1999 at Edmonton’s Polish Hall with around 1,000 attendees has transformed dramatically. The festival now accommodates 30,000 guests over two nights, featuring four stages and an expansive festival space, marking a substantial evolution.
Sold Out Early: For the second consecutive year since the shift to a two-night format in 2025, both nights were sold out well ahead of Halloween, indicating a booming interest in the event.
Tiered Ticket Sales: Fans were eager to secure their spots, with weekend GA+, VIP, and Ultra VIP passes selling out quickly before general admission tickets began moving through six pricing tiers en route to a sellout.
Financial Growth: The business side reflects this enthusiasm. Ticket sales for Boodang, the festival’s promoter, increased significantly from CAD $7.6 million in 2024 to $10.2 million in 2025, demonstrating a remarkable 34% rise in one year alone.
The Roots of SCREAM Edmonton
From its humble beginnings in 1999, SCREAM Edmonton has consistently faced challenges, fostering a community that champions dance music culture. After two decades of wrestling with city regulations regarding late-night events, the city finally adopted its Electronic Music Event Bylaw in 2020, allowing festivals like SCREAM to flourish within a supportive framework. Now, in a venue owned by the City of Edmonton, SCREAM pulls fans not just from across Canada but also from the United States, the UK, and Australia.
Exciting Features for 2026
This year’s lineup is a testament to SCREAM Edmonton’s commitment to delivering premier electronic music experiences. Attendees can anticipate performances from a star-studded roster, including:
Tiësto
Alesso
Chase & Status
