The Daft Punk LEGO partnership is official. On 22 October 2026, the LEGO Group and the French duo confirmed months of fan rumours with a collaboration they are calling “Builders After All”. The first product is a set based on the pyramid stage from the Alive 2007 tour.
The announcement is a nod to Human After All, the 2005 album whose title track scores the launch film along with the bassline-driven “Voyager” from 2001’s Discovery. In the 48-second clip, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo appear as helmeted minifigures. They follow a glowing red brick across a desert until they reach a console built from LEGO.
How a lockdown build became the Daft Punk LEGO set
The pyramid set started as a fan project. Patrick Harboun and his son, from Luxembourg, built their own version of the stage during lockdown. It won the grand prize in the LEGO Ideas “Music to Our Ears” challenge in 2020. The design later reached 10,000 supporters on the LEGO Ideas platform, and it has now been approved for development as an official set.
Harboun said the build began as a creative escape he shared with his son, driven by their love of Daft Punk and LEGO. Daft Punk creative director Cédric Hervet called the pyramid one of the most recognisable parts of the duo’s visual world. He said it made sense for the fan design to sit at the centre of the partnership.
Clues on WDPK 83.7 and more to come in 2027
Fans who were paying attention got a hint first. On 21 October, a red 2×4 LEGO brick turned up on the duo’s WDPK 83.7 broadcast channel. LEGO says the deal covers products, content and brand experiences beyond the set. Julia Goldin, the company’s chief product and marketing officer, described the launch as “just the beginning of a bigger journey.”
No price, release date or final design has been announced, and further news is expected in 2027. It isn’t the robots’ first appearance in brick form: they also showed up as minifigures in Piece by Piece, Pharrell’s 2024 documentary animated in LEGO. Daft Punk split up in 2021, but the pyramid that lit up Alive 2007 is set to return as a buildable set.
