Cosmic Sex Ljubljana closes this year’s club season at Channel Zero on Friday, May 29, with a long-awaited Slovenian debut from Sacha Mambo — one of those rare selectors whose name quietly circulates among true diggers, DJs and lovers of unconventional dance music.
French-born and now based in Serbia, Sacha Mambo has spent more than two decades building a musical language that refuses simple categorization. His sets move through cosmic electronics, kraut-influenced rhythms, obscure synth-pop, Balearic oddities, leftfield house and experimental club textures, always connected by a strong sense of narrative and atmosphere.
This is music for dancers who enjoy getting lost in unexpected turns.
Mambo is also the founder of the respected French label Macadam Mambo, a platform known for releasing strange, deep and adventurous electronic music from artists such as Eva Geist, Eiger Drums Propaganda, Panpoptique, Tutu Ta and Pieter Kock. Since 2023, he has also been part of the team behind Belgrade’s Karmakoma, helping shape one of the most exciting new club spaces in the region.
His arrival at Channel Zero feels like a perfect match. Located inside Ljubljana’s Metelkova cultural zone, the venue has long been a home for alternative club culture, experimental sounds and audiences open to music that lives between the dancefloor and the unknown.
Opening duties come from Blažen DJ, setting the tone before the night moves deeper into its leftfield cosmic kraut direction. Sound will be powered by BORIS Sound System.
For fans of Vladimir Ivković, Lena Willikens, Nosedrip, Toulouse Low Trax, Donato Dozzy or Jane Fitz, this is exactly the kind of night that rewards curiosity.
Entry is €10 before midnight and €12 after midnight.
