PNAU Teams Up with The Warning for “Tu Corazón (Your Heart)”
Australian electronic act PNAU is back in the spotlight with an exhilarating new release, “Tu Corazón (Your Heart),” in collaboration with the Mexican rock trio The Warning. Alongside this exciting single, the band has announced a 12-date regional tour across Australia, set to take place in June and July of 2026.
A Melodic Journey Begins
“Tu Corazón (Your Heart)” showcases PNAU’s signature electronic sound merged seamlessly with the raw, guitar-driven energy of The Warning. The collaboration finds Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore of PNAU sharing the stage with the Villarreal sisters—Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra—bringing a rich tapestry of sounds that highlight the strengths of both groups.
This release isn’t just another single; it’s a culmination of a connection that blossomed over a decade ago. The initial meeting occurred in Mexico during the filming of a video for PNAU’s Littlemore-led project, Empire Of The Sun. At that time, the young sisters were gaining traction online, capturing attention with their electrifying cover of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” on YouTube. Their early display of talent foreshadowed their impressive musical journeys ahead.
Emotional Resonance and Optimism
The song carries a profound message of emotional openness and optimism. Translating to “Your Heart,” the title reflects themes of connection and beauty amidst uncertainty. PNAU and The Warning intended the track to resonate with listeners, encouraging them to embrace the joys and challenges of life.
A Visual Tribute to Culture
To complement the release, PNAU returned to Mexico to film the official music video in Monterrey’s historic districts. Directed by Alberto “AJ” Gomez, the visual imagery captures the vibrant energy and community spirit of the region, incorporating local elements to celebrate Mexican culture. The collaboration brought together a crew of around 40 local participants, highlighting the cultural synergy influenced by the backdrop of the track.
Expanding Horizons: The Regional Australian Tour
In addition to the new single, PNAU has confirmed an ambitious regional tour aimed at taking their music beyond typical metropolitan venues. Starting in North Queensland and moving down the east coast of New South Wales, this tour aims to create intimate, club-style experiences in places less frequented by major electronic acts.
Nick Littlemore expressed enthusiasm about the tour, commenting, “PNAU is hitting the road this winter. We are hitting every outhouse, doghouse, hip house, and acid house on our first-ever regional lyfe tour this June. A true winter warmer. We look forward to seeing all you raving jellybeans out there.”
A Legacy of Innovation
PNAU’s journey began in Sydney’s underground dance scene during the mid-1990s. They released their debut album, Sambanova, in 1999, which won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release. Since then, the duo has evolved their sound, gaining greater international acknowledgment through collaborations, particularly their work with musical legend Elton John. Their remix project, Good Morning To The Night, peaked at No. 1 in the UK in 2012, laying the foundation for their current acclaim.
In recent years, PNAU has been prolific in collaborating with diverse artists across genres, with hits like “Cold Heart” featuring Dua Lipa, Elton John, and Coldplay gaining billions of streams. Their most recent album, Hyperbolic, released in 2024, featured guest appearances from pop icons like Troye Sivan, Khalid, and Bebe Rexha.
A Focus on Global Connections
The release of “Tu Corazón (Your Heart)” exemplifies PNAU’s commitment to fluidity across genres, bridging the worlds of dance, pop, and rock. The Warning’s collaboration marks a significant moment for the Mexican band, well-known in the global hard-rock touring circuit, and serves as yet another layer in PNAU’s expanding international narrative.
