SIERRA VEINS Announces UK Headline Shows

The Rise of SIERRA VEINS: A Journey Through Darkwave

French darkwave artist SIERRA VEINS is captivating audiences across Europe with her remarkable sound and compelling performances. Currently on a full European tour, she is in the spotlight following the release of her second album, In The Name of Blood, which debuted in November of last year. This tour includes exciting stops in the UK, where she’ll take the stage for headline shows in Edinburgh, Manchester, and London this March.

A Sonic Identity Rooted in Duality

With a seamless blend of violence and melancholy, gentleness and brutality, SIERRA VEINS crafts a unique soundscape that encapsulates the essence of darkwave, EBM, and synthwave. Her artistic vision is clear from her first releases in 2017, establishing her presence with hit singles like “Gone” and “Unbroken.” Both tracks not only solidified her musical identity but also garnered millions of streams, propelling her into the limelight.

Reflecting on her music, she explores complex emotional themes with the intensity and depth her genre demands. Her artistry captures the struggles and triumphs that resonate deeply with listeners, inviting them into her world through haunting melodies and powerful lyrics.

A Significant Partnership with Yves Saint Laurent

In a testament to her growing influence, SIERRA VEINS caught the attention of the luxury fashion house Yves Saint Laurent in 2022, which featured her track “Unbroken” in its Bold Lipstick campaign. This collaboration highlights the intersection of music and fashion, showcasing how her art transcends traditional boundaries and resonates with global brands.

Later that year, she embarked on a tour alongside Carpenter Brut, performing at iconic venues such as Los Angeles’ Fonda Theater, Paris’ Le Zénith, and London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. These experiences further solidified her status as a powerhouse artist in the darkwave genre.

Exploring Themes in In The Name of Blood

Her latest album, In The Name of Blood, represents a more introspective phase in her artistry. Released through her own label and distributed via Bloodblast / Big Wax, the album delves deeply into themes of identity, heritage, and self-development. SIERRA VEINS explains the concept beautifully:

“In every drop of our blood lies the imprint of our stories, with DNA as a silent memory flowing through us since the very beginning. Our cells carry the traces of what came before us, of what escapes us, of what we will become. It’s an invisible heritage that shapes us, no matter what we strive to be.”

This profound reflection on human existence is echoed in the album’s sounds and lyrics, granting listeners an immersive experience as they navigate the intricacies of human identity through her music.

Touring and Upcoming Shows

As she continues to share her creative vision with the world, SIERRA VEINS has announced upcoming UK dates for her tour:

  • 03/05 – EDINBURGH – Bannermans
  • 03/06 – MANCHESTER – Aatma
  • 03/07 – LONDON – Hackney Oslo

Tickets are available through her official website, providing fans an opportunity to experience her dynamic performances firsthand.

SIERRA VEINS is not just an artist; she is a storyteller, weaving tales of struggle, resilience, and the complexities of life through her music. As she continues her European tour and connects with audiences across the continent, the world eagerly anticipates what this talented artist will do next.
