Excitement is in the air as the much-anticipated Sunburn Festival gears up for its grand return to Mumbai with an impressive full lineup revealed. After revealing its headline acts last week, the festival has unveiled a diverse mix of artists who promise to deliver an unforgettable experience from December 18 to 19 at the iconic Mahalaxmi Race Course. Headliners for Day 1 include the internationally acclaimed The Chainsmokers and pop sensation Jason Derulo, while Day 2 will feature electronic music architect DJ Snake alongside Swedish superstar Sebastian Ingrosso.
Familiar Names Return to Sunburn
This year’s festival brings a nostalgic touch as several beloved artists return to the Sunburn stage. Notably, NERVO, the Australian sister duo known for their high-energy performances, graced the Sunburn Arena tour back in 2013, traversing cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Noida. Furthermore, Indian electronic music maestro Nucleya is set to bring his unique blend of bass-heavy sounds, having previously participated in Sunburn Festival 2017 in Pune.
The return of established headliners adds to the anticipation. DJ Snake previously lit up the Sunburn stage, while Sebastian Ingrosso boasts a rich history in India, performing both as a solo artist and as a member of the renowned Swedish House Mafia. This year, fans will witness Ingrosso’s comeback to the venue where the trio electrified the crowds back in 2013, making for an exciting full-circle moment.
A Diverse Supporting Lineup
This edition of Sunburn is not just about the headliners; the supporting lineup is equally impressive, showcasing a wide spectrum of electronic genres. Young talent ACRAZE brings his infectious house beats, while Laidback Luke contributes decades of experience with a signature blend of house and electro. Representing the bass-heavy segment, Ookay is sure to get the crowd moving. The inclusion of Sofi Tukker, who merges live electronic elements with catchy pop vibes, alongside Emma Heesters, a notable vocalist joining forces with Jason Derulo, highlights the festival’s commitment to diversity in musical styles.
A Much Larger Supporting Lineup
As if the headliners weren’t enough, the announcement also includes a substantial roster of over 40 additional artists set to perform. Emerging names such as 19:26, Annabel Stop It, BARTS, Citizen Kain, Crusy, and Laura van Dam will share the spotlight, enriching the festival experience. Beyond these prominent acts, the lineup features a myriad of international and local talent, from Sartek and Teri Miko to Pierre Ravan and UD-T, ensuring a mix of familiar faces and fresh talent for attendees to enjoy.
This year’s lineup is particularly exciting as it embraces not just returning artists but also newcomers who carry the torch forward, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere across both days of the festival.
Attendees can expect an exhilarating experience throughout the two days, hosted by MC Haits, who will keep the energy high and the crowds engaged. Tickets for this much-anticipated event, scheduled for December 18–19, are available exclusively through BookMyShow.
