Swedish House Mafia’s new track “Happiness Is So Sad” has ascended to the top of the charts following a significant increase in plays during the tracking week of October 2 to 8. The song, released via the trio’s independent label DANSA, marks a notable achievement for the label as it secures its first Dance Airplay No. 1.
Chart-Topping Success
Swedish House Mafia, comprised of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, previously topped the chart with tracks such as “Wait So Long,” “Don’t You Worry Child,” and “Save the World.” With “Happiness Is So Sad,” the group has now achieved their 15th entry on the chart since its debut in August.
WARM Global Dance Radio Achievement
In addition to its airplay success, “Happiness Is So Sad” is enjoying a seventh consecutive week at No. 1 on the WARM Global Dance Radio chart, showcasing its widespread appeal among listeners across more than 200 dance radio stations worldwide. For featured artist Lykke Li, this marks her first No. 1 on any US Billboard chart.
Accompanying Music Video
The recent success follows the release of the song’s music video, which was filmed in Guadalajara. The celebration of this new chart position also coincides with the 14th anniversary of “Until Now,” a compilation that featured some of the group’s earlier hits, including “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Save the World.” This milestone signifies a significant moment in the trio’s career and their continued impact on the electronic music scene.
