The Essence of “Favorite Star”

“Favorite Star” encapsulates the dichotomy of being cherished for one’s past self while grappling with the reality that that version of oneself has altered over time. The song is a tapestry of atmospheric textures woven together with the contemplative vocal stylings of Rudy Love Jr. It captures the nuanced tension between how others perceive us and the internal journey of self-discovery we each undertake. The track resonates with honesty, embracing change without overstating it—a beautifully restrained reflection on identity.

From Chaos to Self-Discovery

In their debut album, Entropy, 2ŁØT confronted chaos head-on by drawing inspiration from the Second Law of Thermodynamics, embodying the inevitability of disorder. In stark contrast, RE/SOLVE focuses on the aftermath of that turmoil—what happens after initial breakthroughs have been achieved. This new album represents the band’s “Second Hero’s Journey,” exploring themes of identity, acceptance, and the gradual process of rebuilding oneself.

Rudy Love Jr. articulates this concept eloquently: “The aim is to mythologize the cyclical process of self-reflection, transformation, and self-actualization through a Campbellian archetypal lens.” The tracklist of RE/SOLVE is meticulously curated to guide listeners through this journey, enhancing the narrative experience.

A Return to the Heart of 2ŁØT

Where Entropy showcased a whirlwind of sounds and ideas, RE/SOLVE promises to delve deeper into more nuanced themes, stripping back layers to reveal a raw, reflective quality in the music. Featuring collaborations with three GRAMMY Award-winning artists—including the talented Jon Batiste—this album highlights the expanding creative community surrounding 2ŁØT.

A Landmark Year of Growth

The year 2025 marked a significant turning point for 2ŁØT as they carved out their niche in the global electronic arena. Collaborations with prominent figures like Steve Aoki not only introduced their signature sound to festival audiences worldwide but also solidified their presence on the dance charts.

Their Albert Harvey Mix EP creatively reimagined tracks from Entropy, further emphasizing their commitment to evolving their sound. Additionally, collaborations with artists like Aloe Blacc on “Immortal” showcased their ability to tackle profound themes through music, resonating particularly well with audiences.

Live Performances: A Prelude to RE/SOLVE

As they transition into this new phase, 2ŁØT is gearing up for an array of live performances throughout the year. Kicking off their tour on February 28th at Deep Ellum Art Company in Dallas, the band will also take the stage in Denver, Vail, and Boise, culminating in a performance at the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood on April 4th. These shows will not only introduce fans to the evolution of their sound but will also serve as platforms for the emotional and thematic richness that RE/SOLVE promises.

In addition, 2ŁØT will make a highly anticipated appearance at the Breakaway Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, on May 29th, further expanding their reach within major festival circuits nationwide.
