Electronic music pioneers Groove Armada are celebrating 30 years of their career, marking three decades of influential releases, global hits and unforgettable dancefloor moments.
Formed in 1996 by Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, the British duo quickly became one of the most distinctive acts in electronic music. From the beginning, Groove Armada stood out for their ability to move fluidly between genres, blending house, downtempo, funk and soul-influenced electronica into a sound that resonated both in clubs and beyond the dancefloor.
Their early breakthrough came with ‘At The River’, a laid-back chillout track that became a defining moment of late-1990s electronic music and introduced listeners to the duo’s signature atmospheric style.
Soon after, Groove Armada solidified their global reputation with a series of dancefloor anthems, including ‘I See You Baby’ and the Grammy-nominated ‘Superstylin’’, tracks that would go on to define the sound of club culture in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Over the years, the duo have continued to evolve their sound while maintaining a strong connection to club music, building a catalogue that has influenced generations of DJs, producers and electronic music fans worldwide.
