Don Diablo has won the “Best Performance” award at the Electronic Dance Music Awards 2026 for his live set presented in a world premiere at UNTOLD X, the 10th anniversary edition of the festival ranked #3 globally.
The category featured major names such as Anyma, John Summit, Afrojack and David Guetta with Sia, deadmau5, and Alan Walker, with the winner determined by public vote, offering a direct reflection of the show’s global impact among fans.
In 2025, Don Diablo chose UNTOLD X as the exclusive stage to debut his brand-new show concept, created for his 2026 global tour. His set was not part of a standard festival circuit. Instead, the Dutch artist designed a show specifically for the UNTOLD’s mainstage, tailored to the unique setup of the stadium Cluj Arena.
The production featured a custom-built visual system, with elements synchronized in real time to the setlist.
The performance was conceived as a fully immersive experience, rather than a sequence of tracks. The setup was adapted to create a closer connection with the audience, in a context where the UNTOLD’s 10th anniversary edition brought together over 470,000 attendees from more than 150 countries.
This approach reflects a clear shift within the electronic music industry. The distinction between a DJ set and a live performance is no longer defined solely by format, but by how the show is constructed. Artists are increasingly investing in concepts, visual identity, and productions that function as standalone experiences, not just appearances within a lineup.
In Don Diablo’s case, UNTOLD served as the platform for the international premiere of this type of show. The validation followed in Miami, during an event that annually brings together artists, labels, and industry professionals from across the globe.
The Dutch artist remains one of the most relevant names in the future house scene and continues to push the visual dimension of his projects. For UNTOLD, the EDMAwards further confirms the festival’s role within the global circuit of major events. The 2025 edition marked the 10th anniversary of the 3rd Best Festival in the world and featured several productions created exclusively for the mainstage, and this recognition in Miami highlights how these shows are becoming benchmarks within the international music industry.
For the 2026 edition, UNTOLD Festival welcomes to the heart of Transylvania superstar names such as Lewis Capaldi, Sting, Zara Larsson, Flo Rida, Swae Lee, Martin Garrix, Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Lost Frequencies, James Hype, Sebastian Ingrosso, Afrojack, R3HAB, Carl Cox, Holy Priest, Jamie Jones, MRAK, and many more.
