7 Years SLAM arrives on May 15 as one of Athens’ most beloved queer club nights celebrates seven years of dancefloor culture, community and high-energy electronic music with a massive XL edition at Romantso.
Taking over both the rooftop terrace and basement club space, the anniversary edition reflects everything SLAM! has become over the years — inclusive, energetic, unapologetically expressive and deeply connected to queer nightlife culture in Athens.
The celebration begins on the rooftop from 21:00 to 23:30 with a back-to-back session from Fro and Extase Urbaine, setting the tone through warm house grooves, sunset energy and open-air atmosphere before the night fully descends into the basement dancefloor below.
From 23:00 until late, the focus shifts underground as the basement lineup takes over with André Zimmer, Maria Politi, ClubKid and Bete Noire.
Berlin guest André Zimmer brings a sound shaped by European underground club culture, balancing hypnotic house movement with darker late-night energy, while Maria Politi, ClubKid and Bete Noire continue the journey through high-intensity club rhythms and queer dancefloor freedom.
Over the last seven years, SLAM! has become far more than a regular party series.
The project established itself as one of the key spaces for queer electronic nightlife in Athens, creating an environment centered around expression, connection and collective release through music. Instead of following mainstream club formulas, SLAM! built its identity around inclusivity, underground house music culture and the freedom to exist fully on the dancefloor.
That atmosphere makes Romantso a perfect home for the anniversary edition.
Known as one of Athens’ most important cultural and nightlife spaces, the venue naturally supports events operating between art, club culture and alternative community energy. The contrast between rooftop openness and basement intensity further mirrors the progression of the night itself — from sunset gathering into deep after-hours immersion.
At its core, 7 Years SLAM is a celebration of continuity.
Seven years of parties.
Seven years of community.
Seven years of creating safer and more expressive nightlife spaces through music.
As queer club culture continues playing an increasingly important role within contemporary European nightlife, projects like SLAM! remain vital not only as parties, but as cultural spaces where identity, freedom and collective energy come together naturally.
On May 15, Romantso becomes the center of that celebration once again.
