- Music Day 2026 in Île-de-France, the concert lineup
The Fête de la Musique is back on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Once again this year, get ready to feel the rhythm of live music with a wide lineup of free concerts and DJ sets staged outdoors, as well as in venues such as theaters, museums, and even churches. Here’s what to expect this year in Paris and the Île-de-France region.
The Fête de la musique returns on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Paris, and across France! A perfect excuse to take to the streets again to sing, dance, and discover free performances by both up-and-coming and established artists. Whether you’re into rock, jazz, electro, rap, metal, or classical music, you’re sure to find something to love, because the Fête de la musique spotlights every style and genre for one unforgettable day.
A Paris and in Île-de-France, the concerts and dj sets are shaping up to be plentiful. To hear them on the street, in a concert hall, or even at an unexpected venue like a museum or a church… the Fête de la musique 2026 promises to be both beautiful and eclectic.
Let’s note that the fête de la musique was created in 1982 by the Ministry of Culture. This mobilization of professional and amateur musicians, this renewed attention to all musical genres, became, through the immediate success of a popular event, the translation of a policy aimed at giving space to amateur practices as well as rock, jazz, chanson, and traditional music.
The free concerts, the backing from SACEM, the media relay, the support of local authorities and an increasingly broad embrace from the public were set to push it, in just a few years, into one of France’s flagship cultural events. In fact, it began to “s’exporter” in 1985, on the occasion of the European Year of Music. In less than fifteen years, the fête de la musique would be picked up in more than a hundred countries across five continents.
Check out the lineup and the music events unveiled for this year’s Fête de la musique 2026 in Paris and in Île-de-France.
