In a vibrant turnout, the awards noted a record number of verified votes from 234 territories worldwide, a testament to the expanding global reach of electronic dance music.
David Guetta Sets A New Top 100 DJs Record
David Guetta’s sixth title places him at the pinnacle of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll like no other artist before him. His journey to this record began in 2011, with subsequent victories in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2025. Last year’s win leveled him with renowned artists Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren, each boasting five titles. However, the 2026 results have firmly established Guetta as the sole holder of this landmark achievement.
During his acceptance speech, David Guetta commented on the exponential growth of electronic dance music, recognizing how DJs are now frequently headlining stadium shows traditionally occupied by pop and rock icons. He expressed joy witnessing a new generation of DJs rising alongside packed dance floors, stating that these moments of collective joy and fun significantly enhance the current music scene.
This year was particularly successful for Guetta with a staggering additional five billion streams of his music, along with a historic accomplishment of being the first artist to achieve 22 No. 1s on the US Dance Airplay chart. He remains the most-streamed DJ on Spotify, consistently ranking among the most-listened-to artists across all genres on the platform.
David Guetta’s Huge Year On Tour
Guetta’s accolades are complemented by a robust tour schedule that included landmark performances. His three sold-out shows at the Stade de France in Paris alone attracted over 240,000 fans, featuring collaborations with artists such as Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Black Coffee, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Bebe Rexha, and Black Eyed Peas.
The MONOLITH show also brought his talents to major festivals and venues, including Red Rocks and Coachella. Ibiza remained a focal point during the summer months, with his celebrated residency, F* Me I’m Famous!, returning to Ushuaïa Ibiza. Additionally, he maintained his presence at [UNVRS] with the continuation of Galactic Circus, managing to juggle multiple residencies whilst embarking on a vast touring schedule.
