The Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) showcased its most diverse lineup to date, featuring artists like Afrojack, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, and David Guetta, among others. The event took place at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, where performances spanned multiple electronic music genres, including melodic techno, house, trance, and hardstyle.
David Guetta's Spectacular Presentation
Central to the festival was David Guetta’s project, “David Guetta presents Monolith.” This immersive audiovisual experience transformed the stadium into a vibrant stage, highlighted by a much-anticipated back-to-back set with Marlon Hoffstadt, who recently collaborated with Guetta on the track “Caught Up.”
Live Radio Broadcasts Enhance Experience
Fans who couldn’t attend the festival in person were still able to enjoy the event through live broadcasts. Official radio partners Radio 538 and Fun Radio shared portions of the show, and AMF’s own livestream facilitated a global reach for viewers at home. This approach allowed a wider audience to experience the energy of the festival.
Armin van Buuren Brings Dance Department to Life
Armin van Buuren enriched the festival atmosphere by presenting his Dance Department radio show live from the venue just before his performance. His emotional connection to AMF was palpable as he reflected on the significance of the event, especially as it celebrated its 30th edition during the Amsterdam Dance Event.
Insomniac's Continued Influence
Insomniac Europe’s General Manager Dennis de Bruin emphasized the impact of the festival, noting the excitement generated when an outstanding lineup meets an enthusiastic crowd. Earlier in the week, Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella announced the launch of a new initiative, the Map Point Summit, set to take place in Las Vegas next May, furthering the brand’s influence in the electronic music scene.
