ZHU is set to launch a new festival series with the inaugural event, BLACKLIZT.DC, in Washington, DC. This two-day festival will take place on December 18-19 at the indoor-outdoor art venue BERHTA, featuring at least 11 artists across three stages in a setting designed to emphasize the music.

ZHU emphasizes that BLACKLIZT.DC aims to put the music front and center, contrasting it with mainstream high-production events. The concept draws from early underground warehouse parties, capturing a club-like atmosphere that resonates with the dancefloor experience. This festival format reflects ZHU’s vision for a more intimate musical environment.
Festival Lineup
At the time of the announcement, ZHU is one of the 11 confirmed artists for the event. Other artists on the lineup include DANSYN, Fahlberg, HNTR, Joezi, KamJam, Kotiēr, Nico De Andrea, Parellelle, RICHE, and TOBEHONEST, promising a diverse range of electronic music for attendees.
ZHU's Musical Journey
Stephen Zhu gained recognition in the electronic music scene with his hit single, “Faded,” in 2014, and has since released several albums, including GENERATIONWHY and DREAMLAND 2021. His latest album, BLACK MIDAS, reflects a creative shift that embraces big room techno influences, marking a return to ZHU’s musical roots.
