COSTA has unveiled his new single ‘Siren Call’, a collaboration with vocalist Linney, now available via Monstercat. This marks COSTA’s first songwriting credit and stands out as his most introspective work to date.
Co-Writing Session Insights
‘Siren Call’ emerged from a six-hour writing session, where COSTA and Linney discovered shared inspirations despite their differing backgrounds in the industry. They both confronted the pressures of validation and the inherent vulnerabilities that accompany them.
Track Atmosphere and Sound Design
The track adopts a dark, cinematic vibe, progressively building tension before a powerful drop that blends detuned synths with a unique balance of melody and chaos. Throughout the piece, Linney’s vocals intertwine seamlessly with COSTA’s production, making it challenging to discern the boundaries of the track.
COSTA's Rising Fame
COSTA’s ascent in the music scene has been remarkably swift, having begun his journey with instinctive flips shared from his dorm. He has amassed over 5 million streams and continues to release original tracks that enhance his growing catalog. His previous singles include ‘You Got Me’ and ‘Dimension’, and he has recently performed at Red Rocks, coinciding with a significant personal milestone.
Upcoming Tour Success
His ongoing national tour is gaining momentum, with a second Denver show set for Thanksgiving weekend having sold out rapidly, leading to the addition of a third performance in the city. This marks another important achievement in what is shaping up to be a notable year for COSTA within the bass music landscape.
‘Siren Call’ is officially available now through Monstercat.
