Exciting New Music Festival: No Art Manchester Open Air
Mancunian festi fans have yet another reason to celebrate this summer! In addition to the recently announced Outwards festival, Manchester is set to embrace a thrilling new event: No Art Manchester Open Air. Taking place on May 30, this festival promises to make May a month of unforgettable musical experiences for the city.
Overview of No Art Manchester Open Air
Curated by the renowned Dutch DJ duo ANOTR, No Art Manchester Open Air will be hosted just south of the city in the picturesque setting of Bolesworth Castle. Known for their innovative festivals held in unconventional locations worldwide—think churches, art galleries, and historic sites—ANOTR brings a distinctive flavor to the Manchester scene.
The festival marks a significant return for No Art, as it is their first event in the city in four years. Anticipated to be their biggest show outside the Netherlands, the event is slotted into a growing lineup of music offerings in the region.
A Unique Festival Experience
What sets No Art apart is the experiential approach to live music. The festival exceeds conventional setups by eliminating stages and screens, with the DJ booth situated at floor level. This arrangement fosters an intimate atmosphere, compelling attendees to connect with both the music and fellow festival-goers.
The festival’s rural location promises to enhance the overall experience, offering a “higher-quality listening experience” amidst the castle’s stunning grounds. With 6,000 acres of land to explore, attendees can expect not just music but also art installations that weave throughout the estate.
The Music Lineup
Musical offerings at No Art Manchester Open Air are set to impress, featuring an array of artists primed to create an epic atmosphere. Headlining the festival, you’ll find the founders ANOTR, techno legend Marco Carola, and rising star Max Dean. Regulars of No Art—Toman, Benja, and Silvie Loto—will also grace the lineup.
The event features two stages, with the second stage focusing on house and underground electronic music. Confirmed acts here include Arapu, Chaos In The CBD, Priku, Us Two, and Moxie, ensuring a diverse and engaging range of sounds for all musical tastes.
Festival Logistics
For those eager to attend, tickets are already available for purchase on the No Art Open Air website.
Transportation to Bolesworth Castle, located in stunning rural surroundings, is well-organized. Attendees can take advantage of direct services from various UK cities, including Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool, and Leeds, through a partnership with Big Green Coach. On-site parking will also be available, along with shuttle buses from local train stations, making access convenient for all festival-goers.
