The first real signs of summer on Kvarner always bring a certain shift in rhythm.
Clubs begin spilling outside. Night air becomes warmer. Dancefloors move closer to the sea. And for many local electronic music lovers, the open-air season truly begins when Raveologija Na Plaži returns to Medveja.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the fourth edition of Raveologija… Na Plaži takes over Cesara Beach Bar, continuing what has now become a traditional opening of the open-air season on one of the region’s most atmospheric coastal dancefloors.
After last year’s successful edition, expectations are understandably high. But rather than changing direction or chasing obvious names, the concept remains rooted in the same curatorial principle that shaped previous editions: invite DJs whose work deserves attention, especially artists who do not appear often enough in this part of Croatia.
That focus gives the event its identity.
This is not a beach party built around random festival energy. It is a carefully shaped gathering where every name on the lineup carries a specific connection to Croatian club culture, past and present.
At the center of this edition is FRI a.k.a. Frajman, a legendary DJ whose return to Kvarner feels genuinely significant. As a former resident of Stereo Studio alongside Kiki and Felver, FRI belongs to a generation that helped define one of the golden eras of Zagreb nightlife. For many older clubbers, Stereo Studio was not just a party series. It was a reference point — a place where taste, rhythm and forward-thinking club music came together in a way that shaped an entire generation of dancers.
FRI’s story goes even deeper.
He came up through formative spaces such as Lapidarij and Kulušić, hosted the influential Deep FM show on Radio 101, and organized nights like Sabotage and Loops at Aquarius. These are not just biographical details. They are part of the infrastructure of Croatian electronic music history.
His sets have always been driven by one clear principle: dance.
No unnecessary complications. No artificial posturing. Just movement, groove and records selected by someone who understands exactly how to carry a room.
That is why his appearance at Cesara feels like a must.
Sharing the lineup is IGZ, one of the most visible and active names from the newer Zagreb generation. In recent years, he has established himself both as a DJ and organizer, helping shape events such as Synesthesia and Mindbend while becoming an increasingly frequent name on lineups across the region.
His current momentum says plenty.
With upcoming appearances at Dimensions and Butik Festival, alongside numerous club and open-air bookings, IGZ is clearly entering one of the strongest periods of his career so far. His debut at Cesara is expected to bring exactly what the floor needs: dangerous groove, sharp selection and the kind of energy calibrated for a seaside dancefloor that knows how to move.
Then comes Ffriend, an artist whose reputation rests firmly on quality.
As a producer, he has already proven himself through releases on labels such as Rawax, Analog Concept and Robots Revenge, as well as his debut album Arctic Connection on Lunar Orbiter Program. Those references immediately place him inside a serious musical conversation, one built around electro, techno, breaks and deep underground functionality.
As a DJ, Ffriend has developed his name through the RNDM collective, steadily building a style that refuses to sit comfortably inside one predictable box. His sound moves between electro tension, techno drive and broken rhythms, but the common denominator remains clear: strong taste and serious control.
Completing the lineup is Ian Staraj, who holds a special place in the Raveologija Na Plaži story. He opened the very first edition of the event, making his return for volume four feel like a full-circle moment.
Through his work with Greenlight Collective, Ian has continued building a strong presence within and beyond the local scene. His connection to Zagreb’s Masters and upcoming appearance at Love International Festival further underline his growing role as a selector with a clear identity and increasing reach.
For this edition, he brings that experience back to Cesara, helping connect the event’s origins with its current evolution.
Adding the visual layer to the night is VJ Oblik 3, ensuring the atmosphere extends beyond sound alone. On a beachside setting like Cesara, where darkness, sea air, light and movement all interact naturally, visuals become part of the experience rather than decoration.
The location remains one of the event’s strongest assets.
Cesara Beach Bar in Medveja offers exactly the kind of environment that makes open-air events memorable: close to the sea, intimate enough to feel connected, but open enough to let the night breathe. It is the kind of place where music feels different because the setting changes the way people listen and move.
Presale tickets are available through CoreEvent, with regular tickets priced at 19 euros.
On June 13, Raveologija Na Plaži returns with a lineup that connects generations, scenes and sounds without forcing anything.
A legend from the foundations.
A rising selector in full momentum.
A producer-DJ with serious underground credentials.
A returning name from the first chapter.
And a beach that knows exactly what to do when the bass starts rolling.
Kvarner’s open-air season could hardly ask for a better beginning.
