Spinnin’ Records Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Promotions
Dance and electronic music label Spinnin’ Records recently announced significant appointments aimed at bolstering its leadership team. Marco Pantuso has been promoted to the newly established role of general manager, while Frederick Pranger ascends to head of A&R. Both executives will reside at the Amsterdam Music Harbour, the regional hub for Warner Music Group.
Marco Pantuso: The New General Manager
In his new capacity, Pantuso will be the architect behind Spinnin’ Records’ global operations, artist development, and marketing strategies. Reporting directly to Niels Walboomers, the president of Warner Music Central Europe and Spinnin’ Records, Pantuso’s promotion signifies a shift towards a more structured approach in managing the label’s extensive portfolio and collaborative efforts. His experience spans over a decade within Warner Music, allowing him to build a reputation for driving major international campaigns.
Pantuso’s career highlights include the development of prominent artists such as Alok, Cyril, David Guetta, Diplo, and Tiësto. His recent involvement in launching Spinnin’ Records Germany has expanded the label’s activities in the GSA (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) region, reflecting his strategic foresight and commitment to the brand’s growth.
Frederick Pranger: Leading A&R Initiatives
Frederick Pranger brings over 12 years of hands-on experience as an artist, DJ, and producer to his new role as head of A&R. Notably, his legal background, equipped with a master’s degree in law, sets him apart within the industry landscape. As a pivotal figure on the Spinnin’ team for the past four years, Pranger has contributed to projects for a slew of well-known electronic artists, including Afrojack and Blasterjaxx.
In his new position, Pranger’s primary focus will be nurturing the next generation of dance music talent. By cultivating an environment where artists can thrive creatively and strategically, he aims to solidify Spinnin’ Records’ status as a frontrunner in the global dance music scene.
Visionary Leadership
Marco Pantuso expressed his enthusiasm for this new chapter, emphasizing Spinnin’ Records’ legendary history of discovering exceptional talent and influencing global culture. He stated, “Taking on this role after working closely with this amazing team and roster over the years is an immense honour.” His acknowledgment of Niels Walboomers’ vision highlights a collaborative approach to driving the label’s future.
Pranger mirrored the sentiment, indicating a particular dedication to the A&R strategy that would benefit both established and emerging artists. He mentioned, “My focus will be on nurturing the next generation of electronic dance talent, ensuring our artists have the creative freedom and robust support they need.” This future-forward mindset positions Spinnin’ Records to enhance its dynamic approach in a rapidly evolving industry.
Endorsements from Industry Leaders
Niels Walboomers, who oversees both Spinnin’ Records and Warner Music Central Europe, elaborated on the strengths of the new leadership team. He stated, “Marco and Fred live and breathe dance music culture, and their track records speak for themselves.” By combining Pantuso’s strategic vision with Pranger’s unique artist experience and legal knowledge, Walboomers believes they are poised to accomplish remarkable feats in the coming years.
This newly strengthened leadership team underscores Spinnin’ Records’ commitment to not only maintaining but also expanding its influence within the electronic music sector. As they embark on this journey, the team aims to continue pushing boundaries and fostering a vibrant community of artists that resonates with audiences worldwide.
