Terminal V, the celebrated electronic music festival, has announced that its upcoming edition in April will mark the final chapter in its Edinburgh journey. After nearly a decade of electrifying performances and memorable experiences, the decision to conclude this beloved festival stems from the increasing operational challenges associated with hosting such a large-scale event in the city.
Set for April 18-19, 2026, the festival’s last outing at the Royal Highland Centre promises to be a grand finale. Organizers are committed to delivering the same high-level production and engaging format that festival-goers have come to expect and love.
Since its inception at this venue in 2017, Terminal V has emerged as one of the UK’s largest electronic music festivals. It holds an impressive reputation, ranking as Number 1 in Scotland, Number 5 in the UK, and Number 34 globally per the DJ Mag Awards. Attracting over a quarter-million fans from both the UK and beyond, Terminal V has secured its place as a cornerstone in Scotland’s vibrant music and festival landscape.

Co-Founder Simon McGrath added, “To deliver the level of event we’ve produced over the last nine years is becoming increasingly challenging in the current environment. We’re not prepared to compromise on quality. Making this move will now allow us to take the festival further and deliver even more ambitious electronic music experiences in the years ahead. While April 2026 will be the last edition in Edinburgh, we have some exciting plans ahead for the growth of Terminal V this year and beyond.”
This ambitious final edition will feature six stages, showcasing a massive lineup of over 100 artists, including heavyweights like 99999999, Anetha, Ben Hemsley, Patrick Topping, and many more. Each stage is set to be completely reimagined for this closing edition, enhancing the visual and auditory experience for all attendees.
In collaboration with the world-renowned audio experts d&b audiotechnik, the festival will deploy a bespoke sound redesign, elevating the production quality to a new pinnacle across all six stages. This marks a significant leap forward in the festival’s commitment to providing an unforgettable auditory experience.
The impact of Terminal V has expanded well beyond the borders of Edinburgh. Recognized as the Best UK Festival at the DJ Mag Awards in 2023, the brand now hosts a Croatian festival edition each summer, made its London debut last year at the 15,000 capacity Drumsheds, and is slated to announce an entirely new festival location for 2027, alongside a globe-spanning tour to celebrate a decade of Terminal V.
