After three memorable editions in one of Berlin’s most iconic clubbing spaces, The Coven is ready to write a new chapter. On July 4th, the event series arrives at Masters Zagreb for its fourth edition, introducing a new venue while preserving the adventurous spirit that has defined the project from the very beginning.
Having previously gathered dancers at the legendary Club der Visionaere, The Coven now expands beyond the German capital, bringing its unique approach to electronic music and community to one of Zagreb’s most respected underground clubs.
The organizers describe the move as a new adventure. The location may have changed and the format may evolve, but the philosophy remains the same: expect the unexpected.
At the heart of The Coven 4.0 is a carefully selected lineup that reflects the event’s taste for boundary-pushing electronic music. Residents Dea and Free Zing return to lead the night, joined by special guest Gabriel Ayela, an artist whose versatile musical approach makes him a perfect addition to the collective’s ever-evolving sound.
Together, the trio will guide dancers through an extended journey exploring the worlds of breakbeat, electro and underground club music. Rather than focusing on rigid genre definitions, The Coven embraces musical freedom, encouraging selectors to move naturally between styles while creating an immersive dancefloor experience.
That openness has become one of the event’s defining characteristics. Every edition carries its own identity, shaped by the chemistry between artists, venue and audience. It’s an approach that values spontaneity over predictability and connection over convention.
The setting for this latest chapter could hardly be more appropriate. Masters has long stood as one of Zagreb’s essential homes for underground electronic music, known for its intimate atmosphere and dedicated community. Its dancefloor has welcomed countless local heroes and international guests over the years, making it an ideal place for The Coven to begin its Croatian story.
The event starts at 23:00 and continues until the early morning, inviting clubbers to lose themselves in seven hours of hypnotic rhythms, broken beats and unexpected musical turns.
Perhaps the most exciting part is that this is only the beginning.
The organizers have already hinted that future editions will continue appearing in new cities and unexpected places, allowing The Coven to grow while remaining true to its original vision.
For now, however, all roads lead to Masters.
