A New Era for EDC Las Vegas: The Dusk/Dawn Concept
In a groundbreaking announcement, Insomniac Events has revealed that the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas will undergo significant changes starting in 2027. The beloved festival will split into two consecutive weekends, introducing an innovative concept called Dusk and Dawn, set to take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Mark your calendars for May 14–16 for the “Dusk” edition and May 21–23 for “Dawn.” This new format will not only enhance the experience but also transform the way attendees engage with the festival.
Extended Experience with 12 Days of Festivities
One of the most exciting aspects of this change is the extension of the EDC experience into 12 full days. Coupled with EDC Week and an array of special events bridging both weekends, festival-goers can look forward to an immersive celebration of electronic dance music like never before. This expanded timeline provides ample opportunities for attendees to explore everything EDC has to offer, from dazzling art installations to the world-class talent of more than 450 artists.
Addressing Capacity and Travel Concerns
Pasquale Rotella, the visionary behind Insomniac Events, took to Instagram to explain the motivations behind adding a second weekend. A primary aim is to reduce crowd sizes at each installment, allowing more room to dance, mingle, and enjoy the festival atmosphere. With less congestion on the roads, in the skies, and at hotels, the overall EDC experience aims to be more fluid and enjoyable.
“By introducing Dusk and Dawn, we’re not only improving the festival experience but also simplifying the logistics for attendees,” Rotella noted, emphasizing the intention to minimize travel-related stresses.
Affordable Ticketing Options
In a welcome move for festival fans, Insomniac is reducing ticket prices, bringing them closer to what they were a decade ago. General Admission (GA) passes for either Dusk or Dawn will start at $399, a significant drop from the previous year’s price of $524.99. For those eager to experience both weekends, a dual pass will be available, starting at $599. These price adjustments aim to make attending EDC Las Vegas more accessible, allowing more fans to join in on the festivities without breaking the bank.
Accommodations: Camp and Hotel EDC
To support the anticipated influx of attendees over the two weekends, Camp and Hotel EDC will return for both Dusk and Dawn. Offering a variety of accommodation options ensures that festival-goers can fully immerse themselves in the EDC experience, whether they prefer a camping setup or a hotel stay.
Ticket Sales and Future Updates
Passes to EDC Las Vegas 2027 will go on sale starting Friday, May 22, at 12 p.m. PT. For those keen to stay updated, a sign-up option is available that will provide additional information as it becomes available. This proactive approach will help fans stay in the loop about all festival-related news, ticket purchasing, and more.
Celebrating EDC’s Legacy
This announcement comes on the heels of EDC’s impressive 30th anniversary, which attracted over 500,000 attendees and featured an incredible lineup of artists across 18 music areas. The festival continues to uphold its reputation as a must-visit event in the electronic dance music scene, blending vibrant music, stunning visuals, and a sense of community that brings fans together from around the globe.
As EDC Las Vegas pivots to this new Dusk/Dawn concept, both longtime fans and newcomers can anticipate a fresh, dynamic experience that celebrates the rich legacy of electronic dance music while promoting a more intimate and manageable festival environment. The countdown to 2027 is officially on!
