After another remarkable season of world-class programming, Peti Kupe is preparing to close its doors for the summer in the best possible way—with an artist whose influence on European house music stretches back more than three decades.
On July 10th, one of Zagreb’s leading clubbing destinations hosts its Season Closing, welcoming legendary German producer Ian Pooley for what will be his first-ever live performance in Zagreb. It’s a milestone not only for the venue, but also for Croatia’s electronic music scene, marking the arrival of a performance format that Pooley only recently revived after more than two decades away from the live stage.
Earlier this year, the respected producer made his long-awaited return to live performance at Lighthouse Festival in Poreč, ending a 21-year absence from the format. Peti Kupe now becomes one of the first clubs to present this exciting new chapter of his career.
Few artists have left a mark on European house music quite like Ian Pooley. Since the early days of house crossing from Chicago to Europe, he has remained a constant presence through timeless productions, impeccable DJ sets and an unmistakable musical identity rooted in groove, warmth and craftsmanship. Rather than following trends, Pooley has built a career on consistency and authenticity, earning the respect of generations of DJs and dancers alike.
For Zagreb audiences, this performance represents a rare opportunity to hear his productions performed live—reimagined in real time through a format that emphasizes spontaneity, creativity and musicianship.
The celebration, however, extends far beyond the headline performance.
Throughout the evening, Peti Kupe’s extended family of residents and close collaborators will take over both the terrace and the club, creating a musical journey that unfolds across multiple spaces and more than ten hours of music.
The lineup features Ilija Rudman, one of Croatia’s most respected house ambassadors, alongside Elena Mikac, while Tom Bug joins forces with Dvornykova for a special back-to-back session. Another B2B pairing sees Grenco and IGZ combine their musical perspectives, adding further depth to an already impressive program.
When the main room begins to wind down, the celebration continues upstairs as Felver and Antonio Zuza take control of the gallery floor for an extended afterhours session, ensuring the dancefloor remains alive well into the morning.
The evening begins outdoors at 7 PM, with the terrace providing the perfect setting for warm-up sets as the sun slowly disappears over Zagreb. From 11 PM, the focus shifts indoors before the final afterparty carries the energy into the early hours.
In typical Peti Kupe fashion, the season closes without unnecessary nostalgia or dramatic farewells. Instead, the venue simply celebrates what has made it one of Croatia’s most respected club spaces: exceptional music, carefully curated lineups and a community that returns week after week because the dancefloor feels like home.
As the club takes a well-earned summer break, this final gathering promises to be a fitting conclusion to another outstanding chapter.
One legendary live debut.
Nine outstanding DJs.
One final dance before summer truly begins. 🖤🎶☀️
