The Prodigy has announced the launch of their new earphones, developed by Liam Howlett alongside Flare co-founder Davies Roberts. These earphones were crafted through extensive prototyping and careful listening sessions, aiming to provide reliable sound quality for music production outside the studio.
Technical Features of the Earphones
Featuring 10mm beryllium coated drivers and a patent pending internal waveguide technology, the earphones are designed to minimize unwanted resonances. The matte black design incorporates The Prodigy’s ant logo in gold, a contribution from both Howlett and Maxim. The choice of a wired connection was made to avoid issues associated with Bluetooth compression.
Handcrafted Quality
Each pair of earphones is handcrafted at Flare’s headquarters in West Sussex, England, taking around eight hours to produce. The attention to detail ensures a high-quality product that meets the expectations of musicians and fans alike.
Preorder and Availability
The earphones are priced at £179 and are available for preorder through BLK.ANT and Flare Audio. The first limited batch is anticipated to ship in December 2026.
Celebrating Milestones
This launch coincides with a significant year for The Prodigy as they celebrate 30 years of their iconic tracks, further enhancing their legacy. BLK.ANT is set to explore additional projects related to design, fashion, and art, expanding The Prodigy’s influence beyond music.
