As summer settles over Zagreb, HORUK is preparing another extended gathering designed to blur the line between afterwork drinks and all-night dancing.
Taking place at Funk Club on June 19th, the latest edition of Afterwork with HORUK kicks off at 15:00, transforming the beloved Tkalčićeva venue into a two-floor musical journey that stretches deep into the night.
For this edition, the collective has significantly expanded the lineup, bringing together a diverse selection of local artists and selectors. Joining the event are Chuba, Ivan Matana, better known as Ćošak, and Parabelt, alongside BENA, Giwikt, NTND, Oluya, and Orens K.
The concept remains simple but highly effective.
From the afternoon onwards, the first floor becomes the home of house music, offering warm grooves, laid-back rhythms and an atmosphere designed for socializing, reconnecting and easing into the weekend. Running until 02:00, the upstairs space provides a soundtrack for those looking to enjoy a more relaxed side of the event.
As the evening progresses, things begin to shift.
At 21:00, Funk Club’s iconic basement opens its doors, introducing a heavier and darker musical direction. Known among Zagreb’s underground crowd for its intimate atmosphere and raw energy, the lower floor becomes the setting for a dedicated techno session that promises to carry dancers through the night.
This dual-floor approach has become a defining feature of HORUK’s events. Rather than focusing on a single sound, the collective creates an environment where different styles and audiences can coexist, allowing visitors to move freely between the warmth of house music upstairs and the intensity of techno below.
In recent years, Funk Club has remained one of the city’s most important grassroots venues, providing a home for collectives that prioritize community, experimentation and local talent. HORUK fits naturally into that tradition, consistently delivering events that feel welcoming, unpretentious and built around genuine musical passion.
Whether you’re stopping by after work for a few drinks and some house music or planning to spend the entire night in the basement, Afterwork with HORUK offers a little bit of everything.
On June 19th, Funk Club once again becomes the place where the weekend starts early—and ends much later than expected. 🖤🎶🍻
