A brand-new electronic dance music (EDM) festival is coming to one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues this fall! Held on Friday, September 18, Sloss City Music Festival is an unforgettable one-day EDM experience featuring national artists, local DJs, food trucks, and vendors, all set against the vibrant backdrop of Sloss Furnaces National Landmark.
What You Need to Know About Sloss City Music Festival
Set within Birmingham’s cultural heart, the Sloss City Music Festival is poised to be a high-energy community gathering that appeals to both dedicated EDM fans and newcomers looking for an exciting night out with friends. Organized by local event production company Veritas Social, the festival emerges from a desire to fill the gap left since the conclusion of Sloss Fest.
Henry Hardeman, the founder of the festival, articulated the vision behind the event: “Since the end of Sloss Fest, there has been a noticeable gap in large-scale entertainment and festival culture in our city. We wanted to create something that brings people together, showcases Birmingham on a larger stage, and gives residents an experience they would normally have to travel to larger markets to find.”
The festival aims to revitalize an iconic venue while supporting local talent and making live entertainment accessible to all.
National Stars and Local Artists Unite
Sloss City Music Festival promises a lineup that boasts both national headliners and a variety of local talent. The main stage, Cast Shed, will feature seven renowned EDM acts, showcasing a range from house music to more bass-heavy themes:
