Warehouse 215, a beloved venue in downtown Phoenix, is set to close its doors for the final time, allowing electronic dance music (EDM) enthusiasts a short window to revel in its vibrant atmosphere one last time. With a storied history and a prime location, this space has become synonymous with the burgeoning EDM scene in Phoenix.
A Final Farewell
The news came early in August 2026 when Arizona concert promoter Relentless Beats announced a short-term residency at Warehouse 215, running from September to December. As the venue wraps up its final months, Relentless Beats seizes the opportunity to deliver a series of electrifying shows and events that reflect its rich history in this historic locale.
Located near Grant and Third Streets, Warehouse 215 has undergone significant transitions throughout its existence. Originally sold to new owners earlier in the year, this 28,000-square-foot space ceased hosting events during the summer months. However, Thomas Turner, owner of Relentless Beats, recognized a golden opportunity in the venue’s brief period of transition.
“We did a short lease to take over and do a series of shows,” Turner explains, expressing his excitement at being able to once again showcase top-tier electronic talent in an intimate setting.
The Venue’s Transformation
Built in 1918, Warehouse 215 has served various purposes over the decades, from housing the Phoenix Linen and Towel Supply to morphing into a renowned event space by 2015. For EDM fans, the venue is particularly special, as it has hosted a myriad of shows and festivals, each infused with energy and enthusiasm that only a warehouse atmosphere can provide.
Turner aims to elevate this atmosphere further during the residency. With plans for temporary upgrades including enhanced sound systems and production capabilities, he believes the three-month period will allow for a more immersive experience than the typical pop-up event. “Because we’re able to set up for three months, we’re able to take our time and build a more robust setup inside the venue,” he says.
A Stellar Line-Up
The schedule is already packed with an eclectic mix of artists set to perform, starting with techno producer AIROD on Labor Day weekend. Subsequent shows include renowned names like industrial techno artist Hhunter, house music sensation Afrojack, and heavy-hitting DJ Svdden Death.
But the fall calendar won’t be solely focused on beats and bass; alongside music events, Relentless Beats intends to partner with local organizations to produce community-driven programming.
Why Warehouse Shows Matter
The popularity of warehouse shows has surged in Phoenix over the past decade, driven by a growing culture surrounding electronic music. This resurgence can be traced back to underground raves dating back to the 1980s, with venues like Warehouse 215 acting as modern bastions of the EDM community.
Turner, himself a product of the rave scene in the ’90s, sees these raw spaces as essential for fostering creativity and inclusiveness among diverse audiences. “Something that’s always been really popular is artists wanting to play in spaces that are raw and invite in all audiences,” he states. “Warehouse spaces are a very championed environment for shows in such spaces.”
The Future of EDM in Phoenix
While this chapter at Warehouse 215 is drawing to a close, Turner assures fans that the spirit of the Phoenix Warehouse Project will live on. Relentless Beats is already scouting for a new venue to continue hosting these electrifying events. “We’ll find another building,” he notes. “And we’ve already got some things in the works that we’re looking at as our next choices. So there’s some cool stuff coming up.”
As Warehouse 215 prepares for its grand finale, it serves as a reminder of the pivotal role it has played in shaping Phoenix’s EDM landscape, a vibrant community fueled by music, art, and camaraderie. Whether you’re a longtime attendee or a first-time visitor, this final residency promises to deliver unforgettable experiences as the venue concludes its legacy.
