Rainbow Disco Club Singapore is generating buzz among music lovers with the announcement of a highly anticipated debut edition set to take place on 3–4 October. Known for its unique festival vibes and an array of talented artists, this event will bring together acclaimed selectors and live acts from Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
A Stellar Lineup
Headlining the festival are renowned industry figures, including Antal, the founder of the influential Rush Hour Records, who is celebrated for his skills as an astute crate-digger. Joining him is the pioneering Japanese electronic music artist Kuniyuki, along with techno stalwart DJ Nobu and Hong Kong-based DJ and producer Xiaolin. This formidable lineup promises an unforgettable experience for attendees.
The festival is co-organized by Ice Cream Sundays, a Singaporean party collective known for curating lively music experiences. With a blend of local and international talent, attendees can look forward to an inclusive atmosphere that caters to all music enthusiasts.
Day Session: Open-Air Vibes
The festival kicks off with an open-air Day Session at Block 39 Carpark in Tanjong Pagar Distripark, running from 1 PM to 10:15 PM on 3 October. This session features a live performance from Kuniyuki, accompanied by a DJ set from Antal. They will be joined by Daryl Knows from Singapore’s Darker Than Wax and Muto, a resident DJ from Ice Cream Sundays in Tokyo.
Inspired by the flagship Rainbow Disco Club festival in Izu, Japan, the daytime program aims to recreate a laid-back, community-oriented atmosphere. Attendees can expect an array of all-ages activities, games, and a curated selection of food vendors, making it a perfect outing for families and music lovers alike.
Night Session: Intense and Hypnotic
As the sun sets, the festival transitions to the Night Session held at Cargo39, where DJ Nobu and Xiaolin take charge from 10 PM until 3 AM. This segment is set to offer deep, hypnotic grooves, making it perfect for those looking to experience the best of late-night dance culture.
The energy shifts as the DJs explore darker and more immersive soundscapes, ensuring the dance floor remains electric throughout the night. This session is not just about music; it’s about creating a shared experience that resonates with attendees long after the beats fade.
Recovery Session: A Serene Conclusion
The exciting weekend wraps up on 4 October with the Recovery Session at RASA, featuring a rare collaborative live performance. Kin Leonn, Kuniyuki, and Xiaolin will perform together as a trio for the first time, promising a unique auditory experience that you won’t want to miss. Supporting this final session will be Singapore selector Kindergarchy, who will provide a soothing backdrop with ambient textures and melodic soundscapes.
