San Francisco has recently been filled with music, with free concerts and neighborhood block parties in full swing for the summer. Next weekend, another exciting free concert is coming to San Francisco, this time in Union Square.
Free Techno this June

On Saturday, June 6, Union Square will turn into an open-air concert venue, hosting a techno dance party. The free show is four hours, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The show’s premise is simple: no tickets, no gates, just techno in the city, perfect for dropping by as long as you want.
The lineup for the free concert features Adam X and Frankie Bones. Adam X started his career in 1990 in the underground techno scene. Together, Adam X and Frankie Bones created an electronic label, Groove Records, in Brooklyn. Frankie Bones is known for his early techno hit “Call It Techno”, and he is also considered a pioneer of techno music. The two will be joined by a local DJ, 2Dahlia, for the free concert.
Free Techno SF previously hosted a concert in Union Square this May, with over 1,500 attendees. The techno shows are just one of many free events in Union Square this summer. San Franciscans can attend free dance classes, sketching courses, family-friendly events, and even juggling lessons in the square. The activities are part of the Parks Program, and you can also take advantage of daily amenities like a kids zone, chess, games like badminton and ping pong, and more.
