Elektron NEW FACES returns to DEPO this Friday, May 8, continuing the club’s ongoing mission of giving emerging DJs a proper platform inside one of Zagreb’s most recognizable underground electronic music spaces.
Taking place from 11 PM until 6 AM inside the DEPO club space at the Katran complex, the event focuses entirely on new and upcoming artists, offering them the opportunity to perform on a professional soundsystem in front of a club audience shaped by underground music culture.
This edition of Elektron NEW FACES brings together Blazeni, Malisha, Holy K8 and Spartanka, four names representing a younger generation of selectors gradually finding their place within Zagreb’s electronic scene. While each artist approaches the dancefloor differently, the night promises a combination of fresh energy, evolving styles and a shared connection to club-focused electronic music.
Over recent years, programs like Elektron NEW FACES have become increasingly important for local nightlife ecosystems. Beyond simply organizing parties, they create space for discovery, experimentation and direct community involvement — something many underground scenes rely on to remain active and culturally alive.
DEPO has steadily positioned itself as one of the venues willing to invest in that process. Known for its industrial atmosphere, intimate layout and strong connection to harder and underground electronic sounds, the club continues opening its doors not only to established artists, but also to emerging talent searching for visibility and experience.
Entry to Elektron NEW FACES is free until midnight, encouraging early arrivals and creating an accessible environment for audiences interested in discovering new local DJs before they become familiar names on larger lineups.
The club is also actively inviting future performers to participate in upcoming editions. Artists interested in joining Elektron NEW FACES can submit their SoundCloud links via email to depoklub@gmail.com using the subject line “NEW FACES”.
For Zagreb’s underground electronic scene, initiatives like Elektron NEW FACES represent more than another club night — they help shape the future identity of the dancefloor itself.
