Tomorrowland has been voted the World’s No. 1 Festival in the 2026 edition of DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals. This accolade follows a record-breaking voting period, where electronic music fans around the globe rallied to support their favorite festival. Announced in a dramatic social media countdown, this win for Tomorrowland marks a significant milestone in the festival’s storied history.
Every summer, Tomorrowland transforms the quaint town of Boom, Belgium, into a vibrant epicenter of electronic music. The festival combines monumental stages with engaging narratives, showcasing world-class performers across a breathtaking landscape. The synergy created by this combination is unparalleled and is a key reason why Tomorrowland continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
Drawing an audience of approximately 400,000 over two weekends, the festival evolves into a fully operational city, complete with multiple unique stages and an array of artists, each offering performances that span day into night. The sheer scale of the event is a testament to its coveted title as the World’s No. 1 Festival, a crown it has now worn for a stunning sixth time.

Upon receiving the announcement, Tomorrowland founders Michiel and Manu Beers expressed their gratitude: “Being voted the world’s No. 1 festival for a sixth consecutive year is an incredible honour and something we deeply appreciate. This recognition belongs to the entire Tomorrowland family: our visitors, artists, partners, suppliers, and the thousands of people who work passionately behind the scenes throughout the year.” Their heartfelt words highlight the dedication and teamwork that go into making Tomorrowland a cherished event.
DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals poll first sprang to life in 2019, initially selecting winners through a panel of expert DJs. However, as the festival landscape evolved and embraced the broader community of electronic music fans, the voting shifted to public participation after a brief hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. The result has been a dramatic increase in voter engagement and the scale of the event’s reach.
This year’s poll reflected a dynamic landscape, with familiar names like EDC Las Vegas (Electric Daisy Carnival) securing second place and Ultra Music Festival falling to fourth after Romania’s UNTOLD, which held steady in third. The rankings brought to light some new challengers, with several festivals emerging as front-runners in the world of electronic music.
Two legendary UK festivals, Creamfields (7th place) and Glastonbury (9th place), which is currently resting to allow the site to recover, also made it into the top 10 alongside Sunburn, which proudly holds the title of the highest-ranking Asian festival this year. The intense competition continues to push festival organizers to innovate and elevate their production, experiences, and artist curation.
This year marked a vibrant surge in the global festival scene, as three prominent festivals broke into the top 20: Austria’s Electric Love climbing to 11th, while EDC Orlando claimed 16th and the Greek festival PRIMER leaped to 19th place. The momentum behind these festivals underscores the evolving tastes and interests of the electronic music community.
Despite being a titan of the festival world, Coachella found itself slipping out of the top 10 for the first time, landing at No. 12. Other staples like Parklife, Sziget, and Boomtown maintained spots in the top 20, showcasing their enduring appeal in a competitive environment.
While the US led the festival count with 15 entries, both the UK and the Netherlands followed closely with nine ranked festivals each. The emergence of new voices and diverse genres indicates not just a robust local scene but a growing global interest in electronic music spanning all corners of the world.
🔥 High climbers included the UK’s Houghton, which soared 43 places to land at No. 43, proving the festival’s status within the underground scene. Meanwhile, both NATURE ONE in Germany and WHITE PARTY BANGKOK in Thailand made their marks as new entries, illustrating the intense competition and diverse offerings available globally.
As the voting continues to expand, creating space for new entrants and honoring established favorites, the festival world is poised for another exciting year. The evolution of public polling has not only elevated Tomorrowland but also shaped the landscape of electronic music festivals around the globe, reflecting the passion and dedication of artists, fans, and the communities they build together.
