Justin Beatz has made his long-awaited return to the electronic music scene with the release of his latest single, ‘Trucutu’. Teaming up with fellow Dominican artist Crazy Design, this track marks one of the most striking crossover statements of Beatz’s career. Infusing pure tech house rhythms with catchy Latin vocals, ‘Trucutu’ perfectly encapsulates the vibrant, summery energy of Ibiza that dance floors are eagerly craving right now.
Born as Keitel Andrés Ortega in Santo Domingo, Justin Beatz has spent over two decades carving out his identity in the music world. His musical journey has taken him through various genres, including hip-hop and trance, before he settled into the tech house and Latin tech house styles he is now known for. As the founder of Hierro Records, Beatz has developed a steady catalogue of records, each blending technical precision with the warmth and rhythm characteristic of Caribbean music.
The genesis of ‘Trucutu’ was rooted in Beatz’s desire to merge Dominican cultural elements with electronic music. He shared his vision for the track with Crazy Design, setting the stage for a collaboration that would flow naturally from the very beginning. “I’ve always liked the idea to mix what we have in our culture in the Dominican Republic with electronic music and giving my touch,” Beatz expressed. This intent to create a tech house version of an original song he was inspired by led him to reach out to Crazy Design, who responded with enthusiasm.
“I’ve sent him a demo version, which (luckily) his manager and he were together and they liked it. This inspired me more to polish that demo into the final version. It was pretty fun to work and everything came natural — the sound selection, the vibe and the feeling that all people will enjoy and dance this track when they hear it.”

The creative collaboration blossomed swiftly after the demo was shared, proving to be an exhilarating process that resulted in a track marrying modern tech house with the essence of Dominican culture. The final product is a peak-time anthem that pairs punchy, swing-led rhythms with Crazy Design’s vibrant vocal performance at its forefront. The groovy, Caribbean undertones anchor the low end, while the infectious Latin hook ensures that ‘Trucutu’ has an instantly recognizable club identity, one that resonates as much on the terraces of Ibiza as it does on the sandy shores of Caribbean dance floors.
‘Trucutu’ joins an impressive roster of recent releases from Justin Beatz, including tracks like ‘Molly’, ‘Boom Sina Boom’ (created in collaboration with fellow tech house artist Rey Pirín), ‘Rock Star’, and ‘You Wanna Dance’. Each of these tracks exhibits a modern Latin-leaning tech house wave, highlighting Beatz’s consistent trajectory in the genre.
For those seeking a new anthem to energize their playlists or upcoming events, ‘Trucutu’ is a vibrant showcase of cultural fusion and electronic artistry, out now via Hierro Records.
