Gates of Agartha returns from June 4–7, 2026, transforming the spectacular Cave Romane quarry near Pula into one of Europe’s most unique electronic music destinations.
Now entering its fourth edition, the Croatian festival has quickly established itself as a standout event on the international electronic music calendar, thanks to a concept that combines world-class artists with one of the most extraordinary venues anywhere in the scene.
Cave Romane is no ordinary festival location.
The 2,000-year-old Roman limestone quarry once supplied stone for the construction of the famous Pula Arena and today serves as a breathtaking open-air amphitheater surrounded by towering rock walls. The natural acoustics, dramatic scenery and historical significance create an atmosphere unlike anything found in a traditional festival setting.
For four days and nights, that ancient landscape becomes the backdrop for a carefully curated program spanning deep house, tech house and melodic electronic music.
Leading the 2026 lineup are Dutch duo ANOTR, one of the most in-demand acts in contemporary house music, alongside Mau P, whose meteoric rise has made him one of the scene’s biggest crossover stars. They are joined by Hot Since 82, Dennis Cruz and Mita Gami, artists known for their ability to balance underground credibility with large-scale festival appeal.
The supporting lineup adds further depth with names including Traumer, Avangart Tabldot, Saraga, Ace Brothers, Zoe Dona, Pablo Panda, Mene, Elena Mikac and Moukaide, creating a program that stretches across multiple shades of modern electronic music.
What separates Gates of Agartha from many summer festivals is its focus on experience rather than sheer scale. The event has built a reputation around immersive production, carefully designed environments and a strong sense of community among attendees arriving from around the world.
Set in the heart of Istria’s legendary Terra Magica, the festival embraces the idea of discovery. History, nature and music are woven together into a single narrative, allowing visitors to experience electronic music in a setting that feels almost cinematic.
As the sun sets against the limestone walls and the quarry comes alive with light and sound, Cave Romane once again becomes the gateway to a different world.
For many, Gates of Agartha is more than a festival.
It is one of Croatia’s most remarkable electronic music experiences.
