Frekuence returns on May 23 with another carefully curated night of underground electronic music, welcoming Berlin-based selector Gina Demarchi alongside local artist Fanatek for an extended journey through hardgroove, dub techno and hypnotic dancefloor energy.
As one of Tirana’s fastest-growing underground spaces, Frekuence continues building a reputation around nights that prioritize atmosphere, sonic identity and community-driven club culture over commercial spectacle. This latest edition follows that same philosophy closely — balancing international underground perspective with artists deeply connected to the local electronic scene.
At the center of the night stands Gina Demarchi, a Buenos Aires-born DJ and producer currently based in Berlin.
Over the last several years, Demarchi has steadily developed a distinct sound rooted in tribal percussion, rolling groove structures and sensual rhythmic movement. Her sets move fluidly between hardgroove intensity, dub techno hypnosis and stripped-back late-night tension, always maintaining a strong physical connection to the dancefloor.
Rather than relying on aggressive peak-time formulas, Demarchi builds atmosphere patiently through layered percussion, hypnotic repetition and evolving textures that gradually pull the room deeper into movement.
That approach has helped her establish a growing presence across the contemporary European underground scene.
Represented by Yam Agency and holding a residency at Balls Baile, Gina Demarchi has also released music through labels including BCCO, Obscur Berlin and Orbital Disorder, while contributing to numerous compilations and remix projects connected to the harder and groove-focused edges of modern techno culture.
Her sound feels especially aligned with the current resurgence of groove-oriented dance music globally — a shift away from maximalism toward rhythm, flow and body movement as the central force inside the club.
Joining her is Fanatek, a Tirana-based selector whose presence inside the Albanian electronic scene has steadily expanded since first emerging in 2015.
As part of Rebel Community and Silur Label, Fanatek has developed a style balancing progressive structures, deep melodic atmosphere and techno-driven momentum. His sets are often built around storytelling and emotional pacing, gradually unfolding into immersive dancefloor narratives rather than relying on isolated impact moments.
Across recent years, he has performed throughout Tirana, Kosovo and Amsterdam while sharing lineups with artists including Indira Paganotto and Boris Brejcha.
Together, Gina Demarchi and Fanatek create a pairing centered around movement, groove and emotional continuity rather than genre rigidity.
That fluidity reflects Frekuence itself.
The venue has increasingly become one of Tirana’s strongest spaces for underground club culture precisely because of its commitment to atmosphere and inclusivity. Beyond music programming, Frekuence continuously emphasizes respect, consent and community through a strict no-harassment policy and no-photo environment designed to preserve intimacy and freedom inside the space.
Those values matter.
Especially within contemporary nightlife culture, where clubs increasingly function not just as entertainment venues but as temporary environments for expression, connection and collective release.
Frekuence embraces that role directly.
Its late-night atmosphere, intimate architecture and carefully selected programming create the conditions for deeper dancefloor immersion — the kind of nights where rhythm slowly takes control and time begins dissolving into movement.
On May 23, that atmosphere will once again revolve around hypnotic percussion, tribal pulse and underground energy stretching until sunrise in Tirana.
