KINKY GALORE Munich returns on May 14 with a massive summer edition at Bahnwärter Thiel, transforming the iconic venue into a full-scale open-air and indoor techno playground stretching from sunset until sunrise.
After last year’s edition sold out months in advance and quickly became one of the standout nightlife moments of 2025, expectations around the return are already running high. The combination of underground techno, immersive atmosphere and the unmistakable visual identity of Bahnwärter Thiel created a night many visitors still describe as one of the strongest club experiences of the past year.
Now, KINKY GALORE Munich is preparing to do it again.
Running from 6 PM until 6 AM, the event spreads across two floors — indoor and outdoor — inside the venue’s famous maze of old train wagons, industrial containers and hidden open-air corners. The result feels less like a standard club night and more like a temporary parallel world built around music, art, performance and complete sensory immersion.
The atmosphere itself has become central to the identity of KINKY GALORE. Rather than focusing only on DJs or headliners, the concept blends dancefloor culture with visual storytelling, freedom of expression and collective energy, creating an experience where the crowd becomes just as important as the music.
One of the key spaces of the night remains the legendary “Hexenkessel” indoor floor, powered by a massive Function-One soundsystem and known for its raw intensity deep into the early morning hours.
Starting earlier in the evening also changes the rhythm of the event. Guests can move between daylight open-air dancing and darker indoor club energy as the atmosphere gradually evolves throughout the night — something Bahnwärter Thiel naturally supports better than almost any venue in Munich.
Part of what makes KINKY GALORE Munich stand out is exactly that balance between chaos and intimacy. Despite its scale, the event still maintains a strong sense of community and underground spirit rather than feeling like a polished commercial production.
Organizers have already confirmed extremely high demand following last year’s rapid sellout, with discounted Circle Member tickets once again available for returning community members through the official KINKY GALORE platform.
Behind the project are Jan Ehret, Sarah Woods and the wider KINKY GALORE crew, whose Berlin-rooted vision continues bringing together techno, queer nightlife culture, performance art and open-air rave energy into one immersive summer experience.
On May 14, Bahnwärter Thiel once again becomes a world of sweat, bass, freedom and pure dancefloor escapism under the Munich night sky.
