Piscataway, NJ, April 21, 2026 – The Electronic Dance Music Awards (EDMA) shined a spotlight on the synergy between cutting-edge audio technology and electrifying performances, with RCF as a proud sponsor of this year’s event. Held on March 27, 2026, at the famed Clevelander South Beach in Miami, Florida, the event is a highlight of the vibrant Miami Music Week. It drew together top-tier artists and industry leaders from the global electronic music landscape, all enjoying a high-performance PA system derived from RCF’s flagship TT+ AUDIO GTX series.
The audio setup was masterfully executed by Miami’s own 4Sound Group, helmed by the experienced Joaquin Gonzalez. As one of RCF’s earliest U.S. partners, Gonzalez and his team have built a reputation for delivering powerful, precise sound across numerous high-profile events, concerts, and festivals. This year, the Clevelander’s Poolside Stage was treated to a robust RCF sound system, designed specifically to accommodate the unique challenges of live electronic performances.
The main PA system featured the impressive TT+ AUDIO GTX 10 two-way line array modules (4×2), skillfully paired with GTS 29 dual 19-inch subwoofers (2×2). This configuration ensured deep, controlled low-end sound and consistent coverage that enhanced the auditory experience across the venue. For DJ monitoring, the GTX 7C compact cardioid line array modules were combined with GTS 16C high-performance flyable cardioid subwoofers, providing precise low-feedback monitoring crucial for stage performances. To round off the package, three TT 45-SMA high-output stage monitors on each side delivered powerful, crystal-clear foldback for performers, amplifying their stage experience significantly.
Oscar Mora, an RCF Application Engineer, collaborated closely with Gonzalez to select the best systems for that particular environment. When discussing the choice of deploying GTX 7C and GTS 16C systems, Mora pointed out the physical constraints of the venue: “It was a short-throw situation, but with its own set of challenges. The DJ booth was compact, framed by a large LED screen, so keeping energy directed within the space was paramount. Not only did we need clarity and power, but the Clevelander is positioned right on the busy boardwalk. Therefore, we had to ensure that sound didn’t leak out into the surroundings.”
“This is where the line array design comes into play,” he continued. “With GTX 7C, we aimed to control and direct audio energy precisely. The cardioid system was essential in minimizing low-frequency energy from spilling out beyond the pool area, which is key in such a vibrant environment.” Mora’s insights underline an important aspect of sound engineering: the clever balancing of technical capacity and the physical realities of the venue.
Gonzalez shed light on the competitive nature of the audio market and the imperative of delivering standout performances. He affirmed, “In this business, you get one chance to impress your clients with exceptional audio quality. We conducted a comparison against two major brands, and the GTX series truly excelled. From a sound engineering perspective, its tonal balance surpassed everything else on the market, making it my go-to choice.” The intrinsic connection to RCF started for Gonzalez back in Cuba, where he first encountered the brand at various events and installations—knowledge he carried over to his practice in the U.S.
He praised the GTX system for its performance during the EDMAs, stating, “We achieved focused low-end, articulate vocals, and uniform sound coverage. With precision DSP and cardioid control, every beat dropped exactly where it was intended.” These observations highlight the importance of sound quality in delivering an immersive auditory experience that goes beyond just hearing; it’s about feeling the music in your core.
Among the electric performances featured at the awards were sets from icons like Armin van Buuren, Don Diablo, and Alan Walker. The legendary Benny Benassi, known for his Grammy-winning track “Satisfaction,” also took the stage. His presence added a unique touch, considering he hails from the same Italian region as RCF, further strengthening the ties between the artist and the brand powering the event.
Reflecting on the event, Mora noted the importance of showcasing the system to a diverse audience of DJs and attendees: “We’re witnessing a significant shift; DJs are increasingly becoming aware of sound quality, extending beyond mere volume. They understand how system design impacts their auditory experience. Even those without a professional audio background can feel the difference when something sounds off.”
RCF Vice President Justin Brock highlighted the evolving demands of the DJ market, emphasizing its criticality to RCF. “The DJ sector merges performance with culture and technology. Today’s DJs are more educated about sound systems; they seek clarity, consistency, and reliability across the frequency spectrum.” He remarked that the market is shifting from an emphasis on volume to a focus on clarity and sound fidelity, a transformation that plays right into RCF’s strengths.
Finally, Gonzalez expressed his satisfaction with RCF, praising the strong relationships forged with both RCF USA and RCF Italy. “When you have that level of support and responsiveness, it creates a partnership that’s tough to match elsewhere. The combination of superior system performance and standout service is what distinguishes RCF in this competitive landscape.”
