In REYUS’ own words, he states, “This album represents the kind of artist I wanted to be when I was a kid, not tied down to one genre or subgenre. I listen to a huge range of music and what I want to create changes all the time, so this album represents that. There are tracks for dancing, tracks for listening, and different moods throughout. I hope people appreciate the range of creativity and, most importantly, enjoy the music.” This ethos of versatility and openness to artistic evolution is palpable throughout the album.

From Dorking To His Debut Album
Hailing from Dorking, England, south of London, REYUS has been immersed in music from a young age, starting to write songs at just 10 years old. Inspired by the late Tim Bergling, he played his first club show at the tender age of 16. His early years in music were spent developing a unique sound under various aliases, navigating through the underground scene. With a desire to establish creative autonomy, he later launched his own label and music company, allowing him to release music independently.
This independence is crucial to REYUS’ artistic persona. By retaining ownership of his music and creative direction, he embraces the freedom necessary to explore diverse sounds and concepts. With the release of ‘I’m Listening’, he encapsulates the experiences and influences that have shaped his journey, offering listeners a passport into his evolving artistic landscape.
