Ella Romand Reworks ‘More Love’ For The Dancefloor
In her reimagined version of ‘More Love’, Ella Romand introduces an infectious groovy bassline crafted with the legendary Moog Subsequent 37. The addition of lively house piano chords complements the original vocals, resulting in a remix that enhances movement and energy without forsaking the original track’s enchanting spirit. The remix encapsulates a blend of rhythmic dynamism and melodic finesse, ensuring it lands perfectly in both club settings and casual listening experiences.
On her creative process, Ella shared: “When I first heard ‘More Love’, I immediately connected with the track and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it to bring it into a more club vibe. I added a groovy bassline using the Moog Subsequent 37 and housey piano chords to keep the energy moving, while building on the original track and catchy vocals. I wanted the remix to feel uplifting and danceable, while still maintaining the original hypnotic indie dance character.” Her passion for fusing diverse musical elements truly shines through in this exciting remix.
From Classical Piano To Electronic Music
Ella Romand’s musical journey began in southern Brazil, where she started playing piano by ear at the tender age of five. Following her initial explorations, she received classical training and developed a fascination for Brazilian rhythms and contemporary pop music. The electronic music scene caught her attention later on, particularly the influence of Sasha’s seminal album ‘Involver’. After relocating to Curitiba at 16, she delved deeper into the city’s pulsing club culture, which further shaped her artistic identity.
Her official education in music production began in Brazil, followed by a move to San Diego where she pursued a music degree. Continuing her studies at Florida International University in Miami, Ella specialized in Music Technology—a field that perfectly marries her passion for live instrumentation and electronic music. A significant milestone in her burgeoning career was winning Electric Pickle’s mix competition, which solidified her presence in Miami’s thriving electronic scene and led to a coveted residency at Do Not Sit On The Furniture.
Live Instrumentation Remains Central To Ella Romand
Live instrumentation plays a pivotal role in Ella Romand’s artistic expression. In 2015, she began to incorporate keys and electronic instruments into her DJ sets with the electronic trio Dsided, a unique approach that she later continued in her solo endeavors. This commitment to blending live elements with electronic grooves led to an intriguing collaboration with the New World Symphony, where she co-produced, composed, and performed alongside more than 80 musicians, successfully merging classical and electronic music in a single performance.
Throughout her career, Ella has shared lineups with a number of esteemed artists including Nora En Pure, Bob Moses, Sébastien Léger, Lee Burridge, and Francis Mercier. Her collaborations don’t end there; she has played alongside Rodriguez Jr., Eli & Fur, Nick Warren, Damian Lazarus, and WhoMadeWho, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the electronic music narrative. Her discography includes notable releases through respected labels such as Manual Music, Go Deeva, Minds Alike, Redolent, and Husa Sounds, further establishing her footprint in the industry.

The initiative has expanded to include live events blending electronic music with visual arts, painting, and local vendors, creating a multi-dimensional experience for attendees.
Through Ellaments, Ella maintains a commitment to nurturing up-and-coming artists and supporting sustainability initiatives within the music community.
