Armin van Buuren and KI/KI are set to perform together for the very first time at A State of Trance Vietnam 2026, marking one of the most anticipated trance collaborations of the year.
The special face-to-face performance will headline ASOT Vietnam on June 13 at Van Phuc City in Ho Chi Minh City, where thousands of fans are expected to gather for the inaugural Vietnamese edition of the globally recognized trance brand.
The event also forms part of the wider A State of Trance 25th anniversary celebrations, adding even more significance to the occasion.
While Armin van Buuren and KI/KI have previously collaborated in the studio, this will be the first time the pair officially share a stage together in a dedicated live setting.
Last year, the two artists co-produced the official Amsterdam Music Festival 2025 anthem — a crossover collaboration that surprised many listeners by merging Armin’s euphoric trance identity with KI/KI’s rave-driven, high-energy sound design.
Now that chemistry moves from the studio directly onto the dancefloor.
The announcement highlights just how rapidly KI/KI has become one of electronic music’s most talked-about names.
Over the past 18 months, the Amsterdam-based producer has experienced a meteoric rise through a sound balancing trance nostalgia, rave intensity and contemporary hard dance energy. Her growing influence has already led to a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a massive back-to-back set with Job Jobse in front of 50,000 people at Lowlands Festival and becoming the first woman ever to win the Dutch Edison Pop Award in the electronic category.
Currently drawing more than 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, KI/KI now steps into one of the biggest moments of her career alongside one of trance music’s most iconic figures.
For Armin van Buuren, the collaboration also reflects the broader direction trance culture has increasingly moved toward in recent years.
Rather than remaining isolated within traditional genre boundaries, modern trance has increasingly reconnected with rave culture, harder club sounds and younger underground audiences — areas where KI/KI has become especially influential.
The rest of the ASOT Vietnam lineup reinforces that wider crossover energy.
Ferry Corsten will revive his legendary Gouryella project for a special appearance, while Cosmic Gate arrive during their own 25th anniversary celebrations. Additional artists confirmed include Slovakian trance star Nifra, longtime ASOT resident Ruben de Ronde and Scottish vocalist SACHA, whose collaboration with Armin van Buuren, Set Me Free, recently won Trance Song of the Year at the 2026 EDM Awards.
For Vietnam itself, the event represents a major milestone.
ASOT Vietnam already confirmed more than 10,000 attendees from over 50 different countries, positioning the festival as one of Southeast Asia’s largest trance-focused gatherings to date. Several ticket categories have already sold out ahead of the June event.
As trance culture continues evolving globally, ASOT Vietnam appears ready to become one of the defining moments of this year’s anniversary celebrations.
And at the center of it all stands a pairing fans have never seen before:
Armin van Buuren and KI/KI, finally sharing the same stage.
