Para Klub celebrates its second anniversary on June 7 with a special edition of para.normal, bringing together local favorites and one of contemporary techno’s most distinctive artists for a marathon gathering in the heart of Belgrade.
Running from 06:00 until 22:00, the event reflects the unique identity that Para Klub has developed over the past two years. More than simply another venue in the city’s nightlife landscape, Para has become a meeting point for adventurous club culture, alternative electronic sounds and a community that values musical depth over trends.
For this anniversary edition, the club welcomes Anthony Linell, whose appearance was originally planned for the New Year’s Day celebration before being postponed due to weather conditions.
The Swedish producer, DJ and label head is widely regarded as one of the most singular voices in modern techno. As co-founder of Stockholm’s influential Northern Electronics label alongside Varg (Jonas Rönnberg), Linell has spent years developing a sound that exists far from conventional dancefloor formulas.
His productions are known for their hypnotic intensity, icy atmospheres and stripped-back rhythmic precision. Rather than offering comfort or familiarity, Linell’s music often feels like a journey into darker and more introspective territory, where tension and texture become just as important as rhythm itself.
Whether performing live or behind the decks, he has a rare ability to transform a room through subtle movement and relentless focus. His sets unfold patiently, drawing listeners deeper into an environment where instinct replaces expectation and every detail matters.
Beyond his work as Anthony Linell, he has also explored experimental and noise-oriented projects such as Lundin Oil, while collaborations with Varg under the Ulwhednar alias have further expanded his artistic reach.
Joining Linell are several artists already familiar to the Para audience. Filip Xavi, Ali Guney, Essio, Tosandrra and Lollipop Janosz complete a lineup that reflects the club’s commitment to nurturing both local talent and international underground voices.
The event also carries a symbolic connection to the club’s history. Organizers have confirmed that tickets purchased for the postponed January 1 event remain valid, creating a direct bridge between the gathering that never happened and the celebration now taking place.
As Para Klub enters its third year, the anniversary serves as both a reflection and a statement of intent. The club continues to prioritize quality programming, community-driven experiences and artists who challenge expectations rather than follow them.
There will be music, there will be dancing, and, as promised by the organizers, there will also be cake.
For Belgrade’s underground community, June 7 is more than a birthday party. It is a celebration of a space that has become an important part of the city’s evolving electronic music story. 🎂
